Prioritizing Details of a Goal

Each dream is like a seed. Just as with gardening, its fulfillment may require incubation time: sifting, planning, nurturing, and trimming options to bring a desire to fruition. It’s easy to assume there isn’t any time for detail work. This thinking signals resistance. Taking time to create a structure benefits us the most at this stage. Besides an hour every week, I schedule a one-half day session each month and one week every year for creative thinking and review as well as shorter detailing times when I’m in the middle of a project or goal.

Sometimes the first step in reaching a dream or completing a project is brainstorming a list of actions or tasks without worrying about what’s first, second, third, etc. After you get a list on paper, you can prioritize.
